10 Business Books that are a Must Read

Real estate is becoming an increasingly more attractive career choice for people in this day and age. With its flexible hours and potential for large returns, the luster of the mantle of real estate agent seems to call to us all. In the Treasure Valley, dozens of people become licensed as real estate agents every month with only a handful of them turning it into a full-time, long-term career. Why is that though? Why do so few real estate agents stick with it? The answer is different for each person, but in many cases, it boils down to some aspect of business management. Now, some of you may be asking yourself, "why business management? They are a real estate agent, not a businessperson," which is a very common misconception when it comes to real estate agents and one of the main reasons why so many don't last very long in the profession. The truth is, a real estate agent has to treat their job as a business because if they don't have clients, retain those clients, and sell/buy houses then they can't put food on the table.

In order to aid new, and even current, real estate agents in their transformation into successful businesspeople we have listed in this article our top 10 favorite and the most useful business books. In these books the attentive reader will find techniques, tools, and tips that will guide them to a more successful future. It is important to note that this list is not exhaustive and is not written in any particular order. All these books are great resources and what you find useful in them may be different from what I find useful in them.

Before we proceed, please keep in mind that reading a handful of business books does not a businessperson make. Simply reading these books won't guarantee success; even if a person were to implement everything they learned there is no way to guarantee them success on a business venture.
