Boise has many places to shop, live, learn, work, and even party if you are into the nightlife scene. It is a great place that gives you all sorts of city side amenities.

Now, this is kind of the marriage of the two ideas we previously put forth. Idaho is not a state with lots of metro areas, nor is it a rural - it is the best of both worlds. You can literally take advantage of all the cool things there are to do in the city and then turn around and enjoy the countryside in an instant. In Boise, it is not uncommon to hear of people spending the morning at and afternoon taking in restaurants, shopping, and going to events, and then turning around to spend the evening night skiing up at Bogus Basin.
